After the session, you will be invited back to view a selection of images. At this point, you can select your 5x7 inch free print (included in the $89 offer) and purchase any extra photos. Your final selection will be printed on archival quality paper so your photographs won’t fade over time.

Kākahu - general term for the cloaks traditionally worn by Māori as a symbol of prestige and honour.
Kahu huruhuru - kākahu adorned with the feathers of manu (birds) which within Te Ao Māori are regarded as messengers from the spiritual realm. These look lovely at graduation and make a fantastic family heirloom.
Korowai - particular type of kākahu, woven from flax and adorned with tassels (we are currently looking to source these for our customers).
We are pleased to offer this contemporary kākahu at $500.00 incl. GST.

In keeping with the special kaupapa of The KEECT, proceeds from the sale of kākahu will go towards a special Tressa Thomas Retraining Award, to assist a woman with Māori heritage, aged 25 and above, to undertake study in order to return to a profession or to take up work (paid or unpaid) in the community.
